Statement Russia’s Military Invasion of Ukraine

As an organization promoting mutual understanding, trade and prosperity, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan and its members are deeply concerned by the events unfolding in Ukraine with the ongoing invasion into Ukraine by Russian forces.

We hope that someday Russia and Ukraine will be able resolve their conflict and be close to each other again in the way the Philippines and Japan are close to each other.

It is important to note that both the Japanese and Philippine governments have swiftly pledged support to Ukraine and have offered refuge for Ukrainians forced to flee their country.

We, of course, cannot help but admire the courage and determination of the Ukrainians under the leadership of President Zelensky.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ukrainians who are facing this most difficult challenge as they fight for their survival as a nation.
